CKD Men
CKD symptoms (Chronic Kidney Disease) - Men
There are no symptoms of kidney disease that are specific to men. While the need to urinate more often can be a sign of kidney disease in both men and women, it can also be a symptom of an enlarged prostate in men.
What causes kidney problems in men?
Diseases and conditions that cause chronic kidney disease include: Type 1 or type 2 diabetes. High blood pressure. Glomerulonephritis (gloe-mer-u-low-nuh-FRY-tis), an inflammation of the kidney's filtering units (glomeruli - a cluster of nerve endings, spores, or small blood vessels, in particular a cluster of capillaries around the end of a kidney tubule, where waste products are filtered from the blood).
